The Wolf Hound - Since I've never painted and animal before this was another first for me. I like new challenges. I saw this wolfhound yesterday afternoon. He/she? Had such a sad look I couldn't get it out of my mind so this morning it became my project for the day. I hope I've captured that sad look. Let me know what you think..... The Wolf Hound

Commission Painting ordered 12/8/2007 completed today
The Dachshund - This is a commission painting completed today for a customer here in Sacramento and the 5th dog I've ever done. She wants it before Christmas and it will just have enough drying time to make it.

Russell Baker - Lady Collie - 11 x 14 Oil on canvas panel

Lady Collie - As a child in the 1950s I lived on a farm in the Grand Rapids, Minnesota area and had a lady collie just like this one. I would grab my fishing pole and make the half mile or so walk to the back side of our property which bordered the Mississippi and she would always tag along. She was a devoted friend and defender, typical traits of collies everywhere. I've always missed her. Doesn't she look happy????
